CAVE TOURS

How to Purchase Tickets

Tickets may be purchased online in advance of your arrival.  While we recommend you purchase your tickets online, online ticket purchases are not required. However, walk-in tickets are sold on a first come-first serve basis.

We’re sorry, but we cannot accept ticket purchases over the phone for individual cave tour tickets. Larger groups can contact us at info@woodwardcave.com or call (814) 349-9800 during normal office hours.

Backpack and Large Bags:

Backpacks and personal bags are permitted on the cave tour.

Cameras/Photographs:

Cameras are welcome, but please be respectful of others if using a flash.

Strollers and Child Carriers/Seats:

Strollers and child carriers/seats are permitted on the tours, but we recommend holding or carrying your child if possible. Please note that there is one set of stairs and areas with rougher ground and steeper slopes.

Handicapped Accessible Information:

Most of our cave is accessible by wheelchair and walker, though there  is one area with stairs that are not ADA navigable. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us directly before departing for your trip.

Group Tours:

We gladly host group tours for school trips, summer camps, scouting, and more. Groups with 20 or more paying persons must make reservations at least two weeks in advance of their requested arrival date. Please email info@woodwardcave.com for more information.

Private Tours:

Private guided tours are available by advance reservation. Contact us at Info@woodwardcave.com for more information.

Cavern Tours:

Cavern tours are fully guided tours, and are appx 50 minutes long. Cavern tours depart, rain or shine. The year round temperature inside the cave remains a constant 48 degrees, so a jacket or sweatshirt is recommended. We sell sweatshirts and blankets at our gift shop. This is a live cave, so appropriate closed-toe shoes are advised.

EVENTS AND FACILITIES

Gift Shop and Camp Store

On-site tickets, souvenirs, gifts, camping needs, drinks & food are all available for purchase inside the Gift Shop. Our Gift Shop is Open 10:00 am to 6:00 pm during our camping season.

Parking and Camping:

Parking is FREE for all visitors. For Cave visitors, please use the parking area by the cave entrance and gift shop.

Dance Hall and Picnic Tables:

We encourage visitors to enjoy our grounds. We have a large multi-purpose Dance Hall with available seating, as well as picnic tables, open-air groves, and more.

Pavilion

Our pavilion is fully covered, with electrical outlets, and is 20 ft x 30 ft. For information on renting, please contact us directly at Info@woodwardcave.com.

Restrooms:

We have fully-plumbed restrooms that are ADA accessible and with baby-changing stations.

Private Events

Our Dance Hall and Cave are both available for your private event. We gladly rent out for birthdays, family reunions, weddings, and more. Contact us at Info@woodwardcave.com for more information.
